Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains what personal information Pledge Insurance Services (“Pledge,” “we,” “us”) collects through www.pledgeinsurance.com, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. Pledge is a licensed insurance agency (California License #0C64540) with offices in West Covina and Huntington Park, California.
If you apply for or buy insurance through us, the insurance company's own privacy notice, provided with your policy documents, also applies to the information in your application.
Information we collect
Information you give us
When you request a quote or contact us, we collect what you type into the form:
- Contact details: first and last name, email address, phone number, ZIP code, city, and street or mailing address.
- What you’re shopping for: the coverage types you select, the date you need coverage to start, your current insurance company, current premium and policy number, and the limits or deductibles you want.
- Information needed to prepare a quote, depending on the form: details about drivers and vehicles (including driving-record questions such as violations or an SR-22 requirement), your home or property (for example, year built, construction, roof and systems updates), past claims and losses, and, for business coverage, your business name, address, entity type, revenue, payroll, employee counts, operations and existing insurance.
- Anything else you choose to write in a free-text box.
- Your contact consent, including the date and wording of the consent you agreed to when you submitted the form.
Please don’t enter Social Security numbers, driver’s license numbers, bank or card details, or medical information in our website forms. If we need that information to place coverage, we will collect it directly from you by phone or through the insurance company’s secure process.
Information collected automatically
- Referral code. If you reach our site through a link from one of our agents, the agent’s code is saved in your browser’s local storage so your request is routed to that agent. It contains no personal information about you. You can remove it by clearing your browser’s site data.
- Site statistics. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count page views and see which pages are used. It does not use cookies, does not build a profile of you, and does not follow you to other websites.
- Approximate location for one notice. To show Texas visitors a notice about our Texas commercial coverage, we check your general region using Cloudflare’s own network — the same infrastructure that serves this website — rather than sending your IP address to an outside location service. We do not store the result.
- Server logs. Like any website, our hosting provider processes technical data such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested, to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.
Cookies and optional analytics
We may use Google Analytics and Google Ads conversion tracking to understand how visitors use the site and how well our ads work, but only if you choose “Accept” in our cookie banner. Until you accept, neither one loads and neither sets any cookies. If you accept, they set cookies that help measure visits, page activity and which ads led to a quote request; we configure them without ad-personalization features and never send them what you type into our forms. You can change your choice at any time using the “Cookie settings” link at the bottom of every page.
We remember your choice in your browser’s local storage so we don’t ask again on every page.
Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signal, we treat it as a choice to decline optional analytics: Google Analytics will not load and the cookie banner will not ask you.
How we use your information
- To respond to your request and contact you about it by phone, text message or email, as you agreed when you submitted the form.
- To prepare quotes, compare coverage from the insurance companies we represent, and help you apply for and manage a policy.
- To route your request to the right agent and follow up.
- To keep the website working, secure and free of spam and abuse.
- To meet our legal and regulatory obligations as a licensed insurance agency.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with other companies for their own marketing. We share it only as needed to do what you asked:
- Insurance companies we represent, when you ask us to quote or place coverage with them.
- Service providers that run parts of our website under contract and may use the information only to provide their service to us: Cloudflare (hosting, form processing and secure storage of submitted requests) and Resend (delivery of the request to our staff by email).
- When required by law, such as in response to a subpoena or a regulator, or to protect the rights and safety of our customers, our agency or others.
- If our agency is sold or merged, to the business that takes over, subject to this policy.
Text messages
We send text messages only if you gave consent when submitting a form. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to stop receiving texts, or HELP for help. We do not share your mobile number or your text-messaging consent with third parties for their marketing.
How long we keep it
We currently keep quote requests and related records indefinitely, because we do not have an automatic deletion schedule. You can ask us to delete your information at any time (see “See or correct your information” below), except where the law or an insurance company requires us to keep it longer.
How we protect it
Form submissions travel over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection and are stored in access-controlled systems available only to authorized Pledge staff. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so please share sensitive information with us by phone rather than by email.
Your choices and rights
- See, correct or delete your information. Email andrew@pledgeinsurance.com to ask to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you. We will respond within 30 days.
- Stop contact. Reply STOP to a text, use the unsubscribe link in any marketing email, or call us.
- Analytics. Decline or withdraw consent using “Cookie settings” at the bottom of any page.
- California residents. California’s “Shine the Light” law lets you ask whether we shared your personal information with third parties for their direct marketing. We do not. Based on our size, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) does not currently apply to our agency; if that changes, we will update this policy with the rights it requires.
Children
This website is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16.
Links to other websites
Our site links to insurance companies, review sites and social networks. Their privacy practices are their own; please read their policies.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will post the new version on this page and update the date at the top. If a change materially affects how we use information we already have, we will give notice before it takes effect.
