How To Read Your Declarations Page

How to read your declarations page

Understand the summary sheet that lists your coverages, limits, and deductibles.

Your declarations page (or “dec page”) is the front summary of your policy. It lists named insureds, property addresses, vehicles, coverage types, limits, deductibles, and premium.

Check that names, addresses, and VINs are correct. Verify liability limits meet your comfort level — California minimum auto limits are often too low for asset protection.

If anything looks wrong or your situation has changed (remodel, teen driver, home business), call us for a policy review. Small updates now prevent big gaps later.
