Certificates of insurance for your business

How COIs work and why landlords, clients, and vendors request them.

How COIs work and why landlords, clients, and vendors request them.

A certificate of insurance (COI) is a summary document proving your business carries liability and other required coverages. It lists policy numbers, limits, and effective dates.

General contractors, property managers, and event venues often require a COI before you start work. They may also ask to be named as an additional insured on your policy.

Contact Pledge Insurance when you need a COI — we issue certificates quickly for active clients and can review whether your limits meet contract requirements.
