AUTO INSURANCE

Auto insurance protects you against financial loss if you have an accident.

Auto insurance provides property, liability and medical coverage:

Bodily Injury and Property Damage Liability (required by law)

Pays damage for which you are legally liable arising from injuries or death, or from damage to property of others. Includes expense of lawsuits against you, court costs, legal fees, etc..

Medical Payment

Pays the medical costs resulting from an accident for you, your family, and others in your car (up to the specified limit you choose) no matter who was at fault. This coverage may not be necessary if you have other medical insurance.

Uninsured Motorist Coverage (BI and PD)

Uninsured motorist bodily injury (UMB) coverage pays for injuries to you or to persons in your car in accidents caused by uninsured or unidentified drivers. The law requires that this coverage must be offered with liability insurance. If you reject it, you must do so in writing. Uninsured motorist property damage (UMPD) coverage pays for damage to your car caused by an identified uninsured motorist.

Physical Damage (comprehensive and collision)

Collision pays for damage to your car caused by a collision with another vehicle or with any object, regardless who was at fault. Comprehensive pays for damage to your car caused by reasons other than collision, such as fire, theft, windstorm, flood, etc..

Towing and Labor

Pays for towing and labor costs necessitated by the disablement of your car.
